Remote monitoring is a proactive computer and network monitoring service that helps us identify potential problems before they actually occur. This tool is very useful for monitoring the services provided by business Servers, such as:
- Backing up data
- CPU performance
- Hard disk capacity usage
- Server errors messages
- Network utliisation
By installing a lightweight software on your servers and / or workstations, we can analyse the logs sent back to us every night to see if the computer is performing properly. It does require an internet connection but it hardly uses any bandwidth as the log files sent back contain only essential raw data for analysis.
Remote support is one-level above Helpdesk support as we can connect to your system remotely to diagnose and fix issues without coming on-site to do it.
- This is quicker as the need for travelling on-site is eliminated.
- On a cost perspective, it would be cheaper as Remote support is charged in 15-minute blocks. On-site support has a minimum one hour charge even if it takes less than an hour to resolve the issue(s).
